Horse Transport Research

Goldners is supporting research into horse transport being conducted at the University of Sydney. The goal of this research is to improve the standard of horse transport and minimise impacts of transport on horse health.

The research has two primary stages:

  1. To develop an understanding of the current practice and shortcomings of horse transport.
  2. To use this understanding to develop and conduct physical experiments to improve horse transport practice.

The research is being conducted by Ms. Barbara Padalino, a Veterinary PhD Candidate, and supervised by Dr. Gary Muscatello, Dr. Peter Knight, Associate Professor Pietro Cieli, and Associate Professor Sharanne Raidal.

We sincerely appreciate our customer’s participation in this research and are confident that it will help improve

the quality of horse transport available in Australia and globally.
